If you’re from the Caribbean, particularly Barbados, you’ve sat at a table with your parent (usually your mother) giving you the “look of death” as you try to reason with them that you’ve had enough to eat. That means you’ll also know the classic response “You not leaving til you finish evah [every] bite”. It seems to be in the Caribbean Parent 101 manual, and I don’t know about others but in my case, DAMN was it effective!

Years later and all grown up, my kitchen is my home and food has become a saving grace for me. With that said I’d like to welcome you to my blog, “Evah Bite”, a journey to discover new flavours, create great food and consume all of the flavours that my little island Barbados has to offer.
